The
Delheim 2009 Pinotage Rosé has just been released
and is among the first 2009 vintage wines to hit the market.
And this
year Delheim’s Rosé is being presented in its own specially
designed 6-bottle new outer packaging.
For
the second year running, Delheim Pinotage Rosé was voted
among the top 100 wines on the German market by the trade
magazine ‘Weinwirtschaft’,
which collates the results from the German wine trade based
upon volume sales, image and price point. Not
only is the outer packaging very striking and distinctive,
but Delheim’s 2009 Pinotage Rosé is
now easier to open as it now comes in light weight screw-cap
bottles. The
Pinotage grapes were harvested in late January and the
Muscat in early February.
The vintage has
been healthy although the Pinotage
crop was lighter than expected. Delheim’s wine maker, Brenda
Van Niekerk, describes this wine as a combination of flavours of strawberry
and raspberry. “It’s a medium dry style wine with 5.5
gms sugar and an alcohol of 12.5 %, which makes ideal to drink
on its own or with food.” The
Deheim Pinotage Rosé 2009 is widely
available in most retail stores. Enjoy!
Best wishes
